121 YEARS OF EXCELLENCE - Slaets since 1904

Slaets is a family owned luxury jewelry and watch retailer based in Antwerp, founded in 1904. The newest flagship store on the most popular shopping street in Antwerp (Meir) is one of the leading luxury destinations for collectors and connoisseurs in Belgium.

With over 120 years of experience it remains one of the oldest and most renowned “house of trust” in Belgium. For 4 continuous generations, the Slaets family has carefully built a reputation for offering a carefully curated selection of qualitative prestigious brands in the world of watches (Rolex, Omega, Breguet, Tudor etc.) and jewelry (Pomellato, Chopard, Messika etc.) as well as offering exclusive custom-made pieces and collections from Slaets Fine Jewellery.

Our story

Meet our founder and great-grandfather: J.F. Slaets

Meet JF Slaets, our founder and great-grandfather, who started a small workshop together with his wife in 1904. In his tiny workshop, somewhere in a quiet little village in Flanders, surrounded by nature, he quietly crafted, repaired and sold jewelry, clocks and pocket watches. In that period, clocks or pocket watches were the only tools to read the time at home or on the go. The wristwatch as we know it today was not even invented yet and only gained popularity much later.

Today, 4 generations later, the passion for quality and craftsmanship has never worn off. The tiny workshop made way for state-of-the-art retail destinations, the peaceful nature turned into buzzing shopping streets and the quiet little town was exchanged for the city of diamonds, Antwerp.
