One-of-a-kind Trilogy Ring Blue Aquamarine (Santa Maria color), Diamonds and 18kt White Gold

Aquamarine is well known for its light blue (and sometimes greenish) hues. Some rare specimens of the Aquamarine gemstone have a darker and deeper color saturation. These are often referred to as "Santa Maria", named after the legendary Santa Maria mines in Brazil where this specific colour was first found. Today these mines in Brazil are mostly depleted and inactive. Thus an Aquamarine Santa Maria from Brazil is extremely rare. Since the 50's the same rare color variation is found in other locations (for example Mozambique) in which case the "Santa Maria" denomination refers only to the color and not to the locality itself.⁠
